“Why don’t you get a job? It would help you meet people.” Raj suggested. Sia, his socialite wife was bored and itching to do something different.
“I meet my friends every evening.”
“People from different walks of life?”
“I talk to the driver, the watchman, the maid. I get enough variety, Raj,” she pouted.
“Then do it to stay up to date with current happenings.”
“Eh, current happenings. Talk to Mrs. Sharma and you’d know the rate of gold for the day,”
“How about you do something to give back to society? For the country?”

“What? How much did you say you spent on this?!” Raj was shocked.
“You only suggested that I should pay my dues to the country.” Sia countered.
“What does that have to do with this?”
“Did you know that housewives in India hold 11% of the world’s gold? It’s more than the American, Swiss and Germans reserves altogether! I’m making a contribution to my country breaking records. You should be proud of me!” mocked Sia as she held up the gleaming rose gold necklace set and winked at Raj in the mirror.
