On 24-Feb-22, Russia launches an offensive, obliterating any trace remains of the lab in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
I have penned the above flash-fiction solely based on a conspiracy theory doing the rounds in China, Russia and now even the US. The theory states that the coronavirus had in effect originated in the Ukraine, in research funded by US. It also goes on to say that the entire Russia-Ukraine war is in essence part of a cover up. Personally, I do not make or endorse any such claims. Speaking of conspiracy theories, Deception Point by Dan Brown is one such book. It is based on mind-boggling deception at the highest echelons of power. I read this non-stop within 6 hours in one single night. It is a complete feast for conspiracy theory and political thriller lovers.
I wrote this 100-word flash fiction for the 2022 Edition of the Blogging A-Z Challenge, a blogging event held every April. Click here to read more on the challenge! I have chosen ‘flash fiction driven book recommendations’ as the theme for this year. You might not be a book reader, however, you might still enjoy flash fiction.
