Deepa's Kaleidoscope

A sky full of stars all over the place. A speck in the universe. And a whole universe within me. A coming together of stories, experiences, memories, imagination, thoughts, conflict and clarity, mind and soul, and more.

In the blink of an eye

Elated to announce that this post won the Gold Batom at the October 2012 BAT 32! This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 32 ; the thirty-second edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton . The theme for the month is 'An Untold Story' “Your name?” “Yogesh Kamlakar” “Address? Phone number? What about the tube light, where did that come from?” ...

10 Reasons Why I Didn't Post

Copyright: www.simplifiedblogging.com The latest post on my blog is dated May 2. It’s been three weeks since I posted anything. Two weeks back, I thought of writing on a particular topic. Then I put it off. And then I put it off some more. And then some more. Until it became three weeks and here I am. So finally, here’s a post on why I did not post! Block – Writer’s, thinker’s, dreamer’s, contemplator’s, observer’s. Every possible kind. I would think of something – a particular topic and yet nothing-worth-putting-into-words would come to mind! I know it is so easy to simply use the block as an excuse but scripting a word and then following it up with another and yet another seemed like a Herculean task! Of course, the block could have been a by-product of any of the following combinations. Chaos Theory. The past month felt like I was caught in a twister of sorts. So many options to pick from. So many pros and cons to pick through. Our professional lives were throwing...

Quirky Travels

Today, I have the pleasure of hosting an esteemed blogger, Rachna from Rachna Says . Apart from the fact that she’s smart, savvy and fun-loving, what I admire in her is that she isn't afraid to speak her mind; be it simply to share her thoughts on myriad experiences of life or to stand up against injustice, or even to take the first step in resolving a conflict. Her posts reflect this very nature of hers. Today she writes on some funny and interesting travel experiences, her observations about fellow Indians abroad and what it means to carry certain rituals back home! ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright: http://freedigitalphotos.net I love traveling. I have done loads of solo traveling across India in my job in brand management. For a single girl, I traveled at odd hours and walked miles every day with my Sales Representatives traveling through Gujarat, Maharashtra, Ra...
